I can’t believe it; sell event tickets through the EventSmart platform without ANY extra commission fee?????
Yet “Eventbrite” (and PayPal) are the go-to for most consumers’ ticketing needs.

We do NOT charge a commission fee for each ticket you sell. If you want to accept payments online, then you will have to subscribe to one of the payment gateway integrations for $10/mo. You use your own payment gateway account (e.g. use your own PayPal, Stripe, etc) to get paid directly and only pay their fees. Our only fees are based on the premium features you subscribe to either individually or in bundled plans.

Is that monthly fee something you can add for just the month or months leading up to an event or does it need to be active for the whole year?

Yes, you can subscribe to features on a month-to-month basis or annually for a 15% discount. No contracts, no cancellation fee.
